Hello Hello..
I'm Kelli. I was born on April 20th 1990 to my parents, Amy and Joe Medina. I am their first and only child. Therefore,
I have no siblings. I'm actually pretty shy until you get to know me.
My favorite Broken Yoke song is definatley a toss up between "Empty" or "My Final Rest" but I'm leaning more towards
"My Final Rest".. I know it probably sounds weird, but Jon's voice in the beginning is just, like, captivating. Like, no matter
what I'm doing, when #11 on "Destiny" rolls around, I have to stop and just, listen to it. As for each CD. The best songs
on "Destiny" in my opinion are, Cannonball, This Life, Broken Wings, Dream, Destiny and My Final Rest. On "After The End",
I really like.. Beautiful, Hands Of Time, Empty and On and On. And on Beneath The Surface, my favorites are, Direction, Ends
With You, and Goodbye To You. On Broken Yoke's debut CD, which I guess I can refer to it as "The Blue CD" I really liked The
Final Hour, Rainbow and Higher. I don't remember too much on it though, because I never got a chance to buy it, because by
time I would have, they already stopped selling/making it. But I had a few oppurtunities to listen to it, because Kalee has
it, that, and the first few concerts we attended they still sang some of those songs.
Okay, now on to my favorite part, the concerts. I can't exactly remember how many concerts we've been to. I'm thinking
somewhere between 9-11.. could be more, could be less. I'll ask Kalee and Jessie and find out. But anyways, my favorite one
has without a doubt been the one we went to on Feb. 19th 2005. Actually, as of Feb.14th 2006, that's the last one we went
to. But back to the story. The concert its self was awesome, it was our first time meeting their current bassist, Ben.. and
we all found him to be super nice. I'm not exactly sure, but I think after the show, we helped the band load stuff onto the
van/trailer, and just pack up. We always stick around late, but we stayed even later this time. I know we were getting a kick
out of these little girls, that were all " OMG they are so hot!" "OMG, a guitar pick!!!!!!!" "AHHH, he hugged
me" LOL. I mean, sure we used to be like that, but we've grown out of it. Anyways, I also remember it was snowing really heavily
when we were helping load the trailor, because Matt said something along the lines of "Wow, you girls are great, its soo cold
out here" Awe. LOL. Anyways, the best part was the next day, the three of us got up early after staying at Jessies, and went
to church. We ended up running the small merch table they had set up as well. We love doing that.. its great to see how much
support people give them, and to hear what people say as they are making their choices, a lot of the time, they ask us which
one we like the best, and.. if I remember right, someone asked which CD we all liked the best, and I think I pointed to "After
The End", Jessie to "Destiny" and Kalee to, yep you guessed it, "Beneath The Surface".. that could be wrong, but yeah. Anyways,
after church we helped them tear down and stuff, and then we were calling for a ride, from Jessies parents, and nobody was
answering, so we had to keep trying or whatever, and the Pastor at the churchs' wife came out and said "Girls, I can give
you a ride home".. so we greatfully accepted that, it was still snowing mind you. And as we were driving, Mrs. Hacker asked
Jessie if she had a cell phone on her, and she did, and she said something like "Why don't you call your mom and see if we
can stop at Dairy Queen" .. so we did, and her mom was fine with it, so we figured Lisa just wanted to stop and get a drink
or something, and as we got closer, she said "You girls know, the band is going here to eat right now''. Woah!! We were soo
excited!!! We were going to have lunch, with like, our favorite band. Mr.Hacker paid for everyone, and we all just sat and
ate, Jessie was even stealing some of Matt's french fries!! It was Kalee, Jessie and I.. along with all four members of BY,
and some of their family members. It was just, awesome!!!! <3 We still can never thank Lisa enough. She is so nice, she
even sent us a card later, and I still have it. Just a greeting card, thanking, and about how nice it was to go out to lunch
with BY and us.
So, that being said, lets come back to present day.. it's Valentines Day, 2006, as I'm writing this... And, I'm listening
to the "Destiny" CD.. "Recreate Me''... and this Sunday(Feb 19th 2006) there is a Broken Yoke concert in Bryan Ohio. I am
pretty sure, Kalee, Jessie and I are going to go!!! That will make it exactly 1 year since we last saw them!!! I believe my
dad is going to take us, and if things work out right.. Kalee and Jessie will stay the night here at my house afterwards!!!!!!!
Lets home everything goes smoothly!!!!
Love Always,
God Bless-
Kelli-Jo Medina..
